I seen one the other day that said " Dont blame me i voted REPUBLICAN" although being a democrat myself I thought it was pretty funny that people already think Obama is failing..

 

They are all over here in detroit. I see about 5 of them every day. I think the UAW gives them out.

 

There is a guy who lives up the street who has a McCain/palin yard sign taped to the side of his truck and "don't blame me" spelled out in tape.

Ironically most japanese brand cars sold in the US are BUILT here whereas quite a few "domestics" are made in Mexico (more are going there soon) or Canada.



BTW my parents just bought their first non American brand (and made) vehicle and are very pleased with it.

True, many Japanese cars are built in the U.S., but where do the profits go? Back to Japan!

And yes, the Big 3 do make a couple models in Mexico. Don't buy that vehicle! Chances are they have a plant in the U.S. that also builds that same model. You can specify that you want one that was built in the U.S.

American cars are no longer the inferior product that a lot of people think they are. Just read around, and you will see that Detroit really has closed the gap.

 

Lets see, $30/hour X 40hours/week= $1200/week.

$1200/week X 52 weeks/year= $62,400/year

Last I checked, $62,000 a year doesn't make you rich, it makes you middle class.

Marty....I know that your a scorned ex-auto worker but this country was built from the institute of back breaking work ,strong fundementals and solid morals to say the least. The auto industry has riden a very long ride of guesses and bets that they could never flood the market enough that they couldnt make money from it.
