Ford SVT claims the Cobra Jet will grab a quarter-mile in the 8-1/2-second range. Ford plans to build 50 per year (all 50 for this year are already spoken for) and sell them through them through Ford dealerships. The Mustang Cobra Jet stickers for $77,800 and can be optioned up to $93,800.

the 2010 ford gt 500 puts 455 to the wheels stock. So this car has to be insane with all the better mods and a 4.0L whipple... i hate fords but its had to beat any 03 04 cobra or any newer blown 5.4L mustang.. i believe it..

Hate ******* mustangs....... from 1980 and newer there ******* horrible.......oldies are ******* awsome.....the new zr1 is the best production factory car ever....620hp a supercharged 6.2 liter V8 . . . . . cant get anybetter

i work at a chevy dealer and do alot of performance mods to newer vettes, which i love em. But we pullied a zr1 with a k&n intake and lg long tubes with the stock mmrp exhaust and it made 603 wheel. I put headers, carbon fiber k&n, portted stock intake and throttle body on a 06 z06 and it made 503 wheel.. well the zo6 weighs 400 lbs lighter then the zr1 and still pulls five cars on the zr1 50 to 150.. pretty lame imo. but still is 2 plus seconds slower in the quarter as this equally priced mustang

then again the zo6 has ac, power steering, air bags, power brakes, baller nav, and the comfort factor.

no way the z06 will dogg that mustang any day .... my boys dad has the z06 with **** done do it and when he had it stock it top it out at 198mph . . . . a stock factory car raced and making it to almost 200 while stock deserves best production car...

It better be faster than everything else down the track because that's all it can do. It's not a street car. They are race only. You can't compare it to any of the current Corvettes.

Anything can sound like a race car with open headers!!! Nice burn out on a black top paved area....It wont even get close to an 8 second anything!!! In reality...Probably a Low to Mid 10???
