Weezy and Jay Z, everyone knows they're great. Common's pretty good. If you doubt the last two, listen to Em's third album. He plays around a lot, but his lyrics are on point. You just have to get past those goofy singles that he drops....And Cassidy...just type in Cassidy freestyle on YouTube and you will surely be amazed...Album wise, he may not be on par with the rest, but freestylin'???...AWW ****!!

Someone else said that they dont understand Cam and how he just talks instead of flows. First I consider Cam to be a serious dialect rapper, meaning you need to understand his regional dialect (Harlem NY) before you can fully understand him. He doesnt speak regular english, theres lots of Harlem slang and euphenisms. The same thing applies to E-40 (Bay area). Secondly Cams stlye is more old-school, which is spoken word. Which also started in NY.

Whenever you talk about GOATs the originals always get first consideration. The new people have to innovate to be considered with the originals. Also are your lists based off of freestyling, depth of thought, precison of wordplay, battleskills? All fruit is not the same and neither are rappers.

proof died at some afterhours party, got pissed at somebody (a recent Iraq vet too i believe) and shot him in the head, then that guys cousin in return shot proof and killed him. no charges were filed. there were billboards all along the freeway in remembrance of proof for like a month following his death, which i though was kinda tacky since he did murder somebody before gettin killed in return. but, detroit's a pretty fucked up place.

Anyways like already mentioned Army of The Pharaohs basically has most of the heavy hitters in the underground covered but then theres Tech N9ne, Ill Bill, Skatterman & Snugbrim, and Immortal Technique just off the top of my head who are all shittin on mainstream rappers or rappers who the average joe would say is hype.
