What is the definition of a STUNTER? *POLL*

I was wondering if there are differing opinions on what riders would call a stunter.

Just curious to see what everyones opinion is...........

I did my first endo in 1997, my first wheelie in 1998, my first stand up wheelie in 2000, my first 1/4 mile long wheelie in 2001, my first rolling endo 2001, my first superman in 2000.

Thats about the extent of my stunting.....

It takes alot more that one trick or even a few to be a pro stunter. You can be a really good amature stunter if you have a hand full of tricks or even a shitload but you don't compete. I say, if you stunt, you're a stunter! There is a difference between pro and amature though! my .02 :p I guess that means I vote other!

Exactly!

I think Thomas summed it up pretty good in a previous thread that Rick from PBR started.

Once you become interested in stunting then you must go through the regular phases of any sport: Beginner, Amateur, Pro, Etc depending on how far you are wanting to take it...or break your **** :D .

Ehhh....you just gotta have the mind set. I know plenty of "kneedraggers" that can ride a wheelie and roll an endo. But none of them would consider themselves to be stunters. I think if you can bust just a trick or two, but are completely down with stunting...well...your a stunter.

I think everyone has got it summed up. It's a combination of a state of mind and what you consider yourself. A person may be just learning rolling endos, but the fact they can endo at all makes them an amateur stunter. There isn't a diffinitive mark you have to pass. We do it cuz it's fun, it's life, it's what brings us all here every day.

I know alot of guys that ride wheelies. Alot of guys that do endos. Alot of guys tha do burnouts. But they arent all stunters.

I know guys who go out and do burnouts, skitch, wheelis, endos, highchairs, etc etc etc and arent stunters.

I dont know anyone that can 12 a bike and isnt a stunters. 12s dont mean you are a stunter to me, but it makes you a person who can do a 12. This does mean you dont care much about what your bike looks like, you do have issues with your mellon, and you are generally really good at wheelies.

A stunter in my opinion is a way of life.
Stunters are more worried about learning new tricks than having a mint bike. Stunters dont learn one trick and call it a day, the constandtly strive to be the best and learn ALL the tricks.
Stunters for the most part all have problems with the law, repair thier bikes often and love the attention they get from thier psycho antics.

So no, you acnt judge a stunter by the criteria you posted there. There is alot more to it than that. You can usually tell on a person to person basis...But who cares anyway right? Stunters are generally just out to have a good time!

Am I a stunter by your criteria...
I have a 900RR...
I can do wheelies...standups, tank, highchairs, flamingos, combos, slow wheelis down, etc etc
I can NOT do 12s... I have no real desire to do a 12.
I no longer do endos...ever...
I can do burnouts...doughnuts etc
I can skitch... left side, right side, back, on my *** with no bike, etc etc
My friends and I made a video that is for sale out in stores now. "Loose Cannons: Wheelies N Stuff"
I havent ridden for 2 months...
I havent done a wheelie in over 3 months...
I think Im going to put my bike back to mint cause I havent dropped it in a year...then I will continue to do my wheelies and burnouts etc etc on a mint bike...

AM I A STUNTER???

Shugga,
You're a stunter because this is what you eat, breath, and sleep...NOT because you can or cannot 12, endo, or whatever.

I feel I am definitly a stunter, but I know I am NOT the best rider out there and NEVER will be! I have a beat up stunt bike and a MINT show off bike. I try to do new tricks all the time, but I know I will NEVER be able to do ALL of the tricks because God just flat out did not make me that way! I wish somedays that I could do them, but I know that my mental and physical capabilities to do all of them are not there!!! No matter how siked up I get before I ride every time, there are some manuevers I just cannot get my body to do. I try to accept that, BUT, I think I am a stunter because...I wake up in the morning thinking about stunting, I sit at work in between customers watching this board and talking stunting, I eat lunch thinking about stunting, drive home thinking about stunting and eventually fall asleep thinking about stunting!!! For me this past year and a half, all my free time and energy has been committed to stunting and building a stunt team which I love so much!

I would love to do this full time, but it does not pay the bills for me now...so I have to settle for enjoying any spare time I get on my bike with my guys! I have heard it time and time again...stunting is a way of life....an attitude about the way you chose to ride your bike! I am a fan of all motorcycle riders, but stunting is where it is at, and I want to be a part of the revolution!!!

My two pennies...

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Boy I'm sure glad I started this thread, even though I may have not worded the poll correctly, I still appreciate the varying opinions/responses.

Here-here Shugga.....if your heart is in it...then you're a stunna. I am not even close to the best stunna out there, but I try and I like the people involved in the sport.

If other stunna's girl friends want to **** you just cause you can ride, I'd say your probably a pro...

If you think popping a wheelie for a dork in traffic for about 20 feet, your not a stunna...

If you can 12 for a dork in traffic, your a stunna...

If your stoppies are shorter than a block, your not a stunna...

If you can stoppie 200+ feet under 50mph, your a stunna...

If you can do a 12, but hit rev limiter in 2nd gear or in highway wheelies, your not a stunna...

If your wheelies exceed 90mph, your a squid...

If you can have a conversation in a highway wheelie with the chick in the car next to you, your a stunna...

If you can place in pro events, your a stunna...

If you can't qualify in Amateur events...your not a stunna...

If you have a big ***** and big steal *****, and aren't afraid, you have potential to be a stunna...

If you fall off your bike and get back on it, no matter how much damage was done to yourself, you have major potential to be a stunna...

If you have been seriously injured to the point of almost no return and still come back and whip people in the industry...your a stunna!!!

All this stuff doesn't make much sense, but seeing I've hit my head so many damn times doing this ****...I'm gonna say what I want...cause I won't remember it tomorrow...cause I'm a stunna...

With that in mind, why do people want to be stunnas???

Oh, if you can't remember things cause you land on your head on a normal basis, brush yourself off, get back on your bike and are still nasty...your a stunna...

If your avatar is photoshopped cause you can't do a 12 but want people to think you can...YOUR A FUKKKKKIN JOKE!!!

Hope this helps!

I'll be here to bless people of their stunthood if need be!!!

Holla!
