if the 600 has inverted forks they should fit but if the 600 has the old style forks they wont ..
the 1000 has inverted forks they have the chrome tube at the bottom the the old style have the chrome part at the top ..

Almost all the parts are interchangable. Clipons, rearsets, stator cover, stator, timing cover, rims, rotors, calipers...... I went down on my 04' 1k awhile back, and raped an 05 600 parts bike i had sitting in the backyard. Everything fit!
