I think I have it out, now I just need to find out how to get it open without destroying it.

Is this it in the picture?

Thats it, pry it open and spill out the moving part from inside...Then just close it back up...And it doenst even matter if you break the plastic shell...

Re: tip over sensor (zx6r)

k much more simple way to do this. cut the sensor off... there are 3 wires right? on my 954 they are red white and green. take the two outer wires and connect them together. cap off the center wire. if the two outer ones arent the key then try the other couple combinations.on my bike its the 2 outer ones but i know other people that its the 2 side wires. either way it will work with the right wires being coneected... worst that will happen if its wrong is ul blow a fuse. u did it right if ur fuel pump turns on

Re: tip over sensor (zx6r)

I had to revive this from the dead as it save me time, money and a hell of a lot of headache! I just bought an 06 zx6r that had been down and someone had done work to it. Well it wouldn't run but had all of the signs above. Start for couple seconds then dead. Turn key off, reprimes fuel pump, run for couple seconds then dead.

It turned out some knucklehead put the tip sensor in upside down. I was ready to buy fuel pump, injectors, etc. as I thought it was 100% fuel related.

Thanks!
