Thrust Sprockets from Moto-Heaven

Hey guys, after a "painful" day of listening to my chain snap crackle and pop in acceleration and extereme cases during wheelies i decided to shell out the 200 bux and get myself a Stage II Drive Kit from Thrust sprockets.

Now my question is, the specs read as follows:

Stage II = An increase in acceleration and torque of 18% on average. A loss of 5-10% in top speed may be experienced. Notice- If the current chain is intented to be used then it should be in very good condition due to the added stress of any kit.

In "lamen's terms" what the hell am i getting... i relize im getting a larger rear sprocket (duh) but im wondering what is my actual teeth gain here. Since ive started stunting ive heard nothing but -1 +9 and +13 and so forth...

So if someone could tell me how many teeth am i actually going up here... Id like somewheres in the +8 to +10 range and im assuming that this kit will be right in that ball park or alittle less. (anything is better then my current 520 aluminum -1 sprocket setup i got now)

Thanks for any help in advance.

Re: Thrust Sprockets from Moto-Heaven

im not sure but thestuntfactory sells the thrust sprockets as well with the stages 1-4 and they list it as and thats for a street stunt kit

1= -1+1
2= -1+2
3= -1+3
4= -2+2

not sure if thats gonna help but it might

but they also say for the pro stunt kit that its a net of +22 with both sprockets

The thrust aluminum rear sprocket sure gets eaten up though-I've had mine for 7-8 months and the teeth just look stressed the *** out-I wish it were steel. Guess its just a part of the game! Awesome product though no doubt.

Is there anyplace to get bigger than stock steel sprockets? I've only had my sprocket for around 3 months and it's starting to show wear.

I'm still looking...Now that I know how to 12, I might just go back to stock steel if I can't find anything. I've been maintaining my thrust setup every week and my rear aluminum 56t looks like its about to take a crap.

I have not had any problems with Thrust Sprockets wearing fast...however, I do use the EK Chain that they are precisely machined for.

If you have a good chain and keep it adjusted properly, your aluminum should last! I've rocked the same one for over a year! (and it's a 520)

525 or 530 will help the life, but we are ALOT more abusive to this stuff than it was intended for.

Spocket Specialists makes a +2 steel for both of your bikes, but you'd prob. have to wait forever to get 'em.
