Best bet?

What's my best option for getting a super motard? I just want it to screw around on (ripping up town, and stunting at spots) and maybe ride to work here and there. So I really don't want to drop too much money on it. Is there a good place to look for used ones? Buy it set up already, or convert myself? Any models to stay away from?

crf 450

wheels/hubs/tires and then the brake caliper mount so you can use the stock front caliper.

i have the caliper bracket as well as an 03 450 for $3000....was gonna motard, but couldnt come up with the 1500 or so for the wheels, and now i need loot.

Re: Best bet?

Damn, I'd be on that deal like a fly on **** if I wasn't broke as well. I'm looking to buy in the spring when I pay off some bills. Just trying to learn what makes a good cheap 'tard before I buy one.

Re: Best bet?

top speed on my ktm stock is 112-115 depending on rider weight but if you open up the airbox and exhaust you can get it to 125
