Tire pressure for a stunt motard?

I just wanted to see what everyone else was doing and see if we all have the same range in pressure. I've been trying pressures from 10 to 14 PSI...still trying to find the ideal poundage.

Re: Tire pressure for a stunt motard?

Yeah put 25 lbs in the rear...Way better...circles are way more controlled and consistent...coasters are longer...I went over a year on less than 15 PSI...oh well, who knows how long I woulda went if I didnt post this thread. Thanks everbod

Re: Tire pressure for a stunt motard?

lots a pressure..... I think I got maybe 30-35 in my rear. stock up front.
I didn't like the lower pressure stuff, this just feels better to me.... easier too.

Re: Tire pressure for a stunt motard?

Similar thing here. Because motard's are so unstable, I'd dropped the pressure quite low to begin with, which helped stability, but found that with it higher, although less stable, was quicker to correct, and easier to ride.

Re: Tire pressure for a stunt motard?

sorry to bring back a 2 year old thread........
im wondering if you guys who are running low pressures are going through tubes quicker than when it was closer to stock pressure.
i know with my fiddy.... when i ran it really low, i was going through tubes a lot
im running stock now on my wr250x, but it seems a little unstable when doing slow or idle SS's. and im trying to learn O's and being so full seems to rapidly dip to the side. im thinking about droping to mid - lower 20's or lower, but dont want to be replacing tubes all the time, its a harder and costly to do on the wr than with the fiddy.

Re: Tire pressure for a stunt motard?

Last month I went through 4 pinched tubes in 2 weeks, extremely frustrating. Learnt to ride with higher pressure now, seems to help a bit but I still get flat tires now and then anyway

Re: Tire pressure for a stunt motard?

im running about 25-27 psi never had any problems. if you want to do fast circle you have to up the pressure above 20 or the tire will just fold over.

Re: Tire pressure for a stunt motard?

Yeah I never heard of any problems with tubes..If you run 15 + you should be in good shape, I ran 10-15 for the longest time with no problems...dang its already been 2 years, whoa.
