supermoto as daily rider

ive been toying with picking up a drz400sm as my daily ride/stunt piece. how are they for stunting. and how is it riding a motard everyday. i love my fiddy and i want a big version of that. i love my rc51 to death but i think itd be fun to have a tard to play with.

Re: supermoto as daily rider

stock it is kind of anemic but after a little work, i love mine.

yosh full titanium - kn air filter - airbox mod - jet kit..

made all the difference in the world.

it really woke up after around 950 miles, also.

i wouldnt have any problem throwing a 450 kit in it. i know you gotta regear em a bit but i want somethin thats basically a big 50 cause the little bike is so much fun.

Re: supermoto as daily rider

i woud do a 450 kit in a minute, but it runs pretty damn good right now..

i bought a bigger rear sprocket but i never put it on because the pipe really woke it up.. i am actually thinking about going up one tooth in the front.

fun fun fun bke to ride.

Re: supermoto as daily rider

I love my tard-its great jumping curbs, ripping down sidewalks, making my own paths and basically going wherever you want. The dumbfounded looks on peoples faces make it funnier.

I was behind a Food Lion today ******* around on my tard and a marked cop krept past me and did'nt even stop. If I was on my 636 they would call for backup and I'd be in cuffs.

Re: supermoto as daily rider

stock gearing on the highway leaves it screaming above 80mph

105 is wound out in 6th gear sounds like you're gonna catch a piston.

thats why i was going to gear mine down a little bit.

Re: supermoto as daily rider

Bigger is Better.
actual DR-Z400SM has made out of several suggesions to Suzuki,
Original one, from couple years ago was too weak in suspensions and stuff.
Valenti Racing, the official italian importer was one of them.

I'd sincerely LOVE Honda's XR650SM. Comes with electic start now,
and it's much more of an all-around bike.
More torque, more power, more room, more of it all.
