I've got a Great Dane and a Pit, both awesome dogs. Just be prepared to put up with other peoples ignorant bullshit if you get a Pit. None of 'em have had one and don't know how great they are. Good Luck.

Treat it right and it will love you forever. They are great dogs. I have a Rottie, and my girlfriend has just gotten her second pit (so she can start breeding), and I could not have asked for better dogs.
As mentioned above, be ready for ignorance and BS. People that have never actually spent time with a pit have the "all pits must die...end the breed" attitude. That is the best way to **** my girl off. She gets very defensive of her babies.

heres a few to show u that at 35 lbs (thats about what he was 30-35lbs when these pics were taken)....they can use their speed and power the way it was intended. the dog hes playin with is my brothers 120 lb yellow lab!...............again these are old pics but i figured id post them again.......the last gives u a real idea of size difference
