Re: **Post pictures of tank dents here**

OK I'm done with the tank for now and this thread is dead.

I'm not trying to make it perfect... just stuntable. I wanted to be able to have the ability to change it or make it better in the future. ie, paint, deeper dish, more bondo smoothness, ect.

But I took it from this....

Re: **Post pictures of tank dents here**

Do you guys all start with the jumping on the tank technique? or do you all just go straight hammer?

Re: **Post pictures of tank dents here**

hey jstuntlocke, I'm guessing the part I circled in this pic had a crack? and what did you use to patch it? is that just bondo? also, did you use a phonebook or just straight hammer to tank? which hammer did you use? post pic, thanks

I just start with a deadblow hammer and try to not dig in a corner cuz it's like octagon shaped.... If you can find a round one I think it would be better.. then I used a ball peen hammer to fix spots if I catch a corner of the deadblow, and towards the lip some too....

I've seen a ton of people start them by jumpin on them.. I don't like it cuz I can't be accurate like that I feel, and also I'm usually alone doin my dents too.
others may have diff opinions on what works for them...
