Well, I ordered a set of gripping pads (in clear) and I'm not sure what type of glue (or whatever) I should use to get it on there.... Any ideas? I see some of you guys have them.

Re: **Post pictures of tank dents here**

I just finished denting my first tank. I started with a foot (standing on top of the bike) and finished with a hammer. Overall, I'm very satisfied. However, I'm not done with it... I'm stripping the paint and repainting it all black.

The dent is not as big as some of the guy's on here... but it fits my small *** perfectly!!

Re: **Post pictures of tank dents here**

Some more progress... next I just have to repaint the front fender and the bike is all set. Too bad the season is over...

Although I did see you EZEC this morning driving your bike somewhere... you're still riding??? It's freezing!

Re: **Post pictures of tank dents here**

This was my first time denting a tank. Its an 04 zx6r tank.

I wanted a nice wide tank dent cuz I got a big ***.....My other tank I bought Pre dented and i would not fit in that **** at all.....So I dented my own...

Fresh minty tank

Gotta dremal the splash guard out

FINALY this thing ate up 15+ dremal cutters....

After the first few wacks....***** scary hitting for the first time...

I had 2 creases forming but I managed to flatten them out. Then I ground off the Kawasaki stickers and other areas.

Some final wacks with the hammer

I had one small crack/hole. So I took the tank to a welder and he patched it up for me....So now starts the bondo.

And sanded the bondo....

Then primer and paint...(spray bomb)

My cat was near by when I was painting so I caught it and painted its tail green.....

And heres the tank on my bike.

Now alls thats left is the surf grip pads I ordered then I will be good to go.

this is mine, its not that big, and i cant try it before it goes to bondo and paint, cuz i recently dislocated my shoulder, but it feels, like the 04 gixxer i used to ride and i loved that dent, so hope it works for me, "its actally pretty smooth, all that is mostly just paint chipping, and the pic is off of my cell phone
