‘Punctual’ motorcyclist jailed for doing 137 mph
Man was reportedly ‘late for work,’ earns spot on sheriff’s ‘Wall of Fame’

REESE, Mich. - A motorcyclist arrested whizzing through town at 137 mph told police he was just trying to be punctual, authorities said Tuesday.

The 37-year-old claimed he was “late for work.”

A police officer stopped the biker at 3:35 a.m. about 80 miles northwest of Detroit. Authorities said the man had earned a spot on their bulletin board.
“We have a ‘Wall of Fame’ here in the report room, and when anybody arrests someone traveling over 100 mph, we mark it down,” Tuscola County Sheriff’s Lt. James Giroux said.

“This 137 mph is the new record,” he added.

The man was in the county jail Tuesday awaiting arraignment on a charge of fleeing and eluding police.

 

yeah I kinda got into it with my wife this morning cuz I said that really wasnt that fast I didnt know he was goin thru town though-that IS stupid! I made the mistake of mentioning it's not unusual for me to see 160 on the way in,but thats in a whole diff environment (not in town) she said if I die @ 160 I'm not getting a funeral...Darn! I would be sooo bumbed ya know -bein dead and not gettin my funeral Oh well,I guess if you can't be punctual what can you be???

 

Let her know that anything over 80mph on a bike and your dying anyhow, might as well go in style at super high speed. Hope that helps billy

I was doin about 70 went I did that number on my shoulder, could have been alot worse but it hurts every day and proly will every day. Thought real hard about quiting riding....Thats when I decided to buy the R1!
