Rider Killed in Fayetteville, Ga.
My mom called me crying and frantic because she saw the accident and the guy was wearing the exact same helmet I have. She said you couldn't tell what kind of bike or color it was. Rest in Peace bro.
Fayette motorcyclist dies
A Fayetteville man died Tuesday afternoon after his motorcycle struck a sport utility vehicle at the intersection of Ga. Highway 54 and Huiet Road.
A number of witnesses told deputies that just prior to the crash, Geary Benson Lewis, 29, was traveling at an excessively high rate of speed on his 1998 Suzuki motorcycle, which burst into flames after the crash, according to Lt. Col. Wayne Hannah of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.
Several people drug Lewis away from the motorcycle, but ultimately he died on the scene as a result of the severe impact, Hannah said.
The driver of the 2001 Ford Excursion, Lenore Melanie F. Smith, 28, of Fayetteville, was not injured, police said. Smith was turning left off Hwy. 54 onto Huiet Road.
This is the eighth fatal motor vehicle crash in unincorporated Fayette County this year.

Re: Rider Killed in Fayetteville, Ga.
She did turn left in front of him and almost was completly across the road when he clipped the rear of her Excurssion. He was doing about a buck twenty and she couldn't see him and he couldn't see her because there is a hill right there and it has limited sight. He saw her at the last minute and locked it up instead of swerving. Died on impact and the bike burst into flames some bystanders had to put the flames out on him. You can't really blame the lady because of the limited ability to see and when he crested the top of the hill his time to react was minimal.
Sucks to hear, RIP bro.
