Re: Fallen CT rider, police dont care
signed #9719 That type of action is the reason cops get a bad name... I know a few that are good guys but it only takes one to ruin the image of everyone.

Signed it man, that's such bullshit and I have a real problem believing that the policeman didn't slow down an ambulance being sent. I'm sure that f**k never even called one.

signed!
I am currently going through college to become a police officer, Ive not been riding real long but I have had a few friends take a dive... I could not imagine hearing that from an officer if I had to make that call. The time that a**hole cop wasted could have helped save a life...

Last night I was rewinding all of my compact VHS tapes for my camcorder. After ejecting the last one I noticed that a news show was doing a special on a motorcyclist that died after an accident. So I turned up the TV and started to watch as I put every thing away.
Turns out that a group of kids 16-18 year olds I am guessing were out on a vacant stretch of road stunting. Of course they didn't mention that the kids were stunting. The one rider "lost his footing" as they described it and crashed. A friend called 911, the kid said he was reporting a motorcycle crash on incinerator road. The dispatcher fully knowing what the kids were doing, told the caller "So, too bad" and hung up. Then dispatched EMTs. The kids standing on the side of the road were in shock, so a girl calls 911 and gets the same guy. He tells her the same thing and hangs up. The kid dies 6 days later from head trauma. Now the dispatcher, which had a spotless record, received a 15 day suspension (with pay). And a night time news special.
They interviewed the parents, who took the reporter into the garage to show them their sons bike. "This motorcycle was his life" the mom said WTF!?!?! Then they show his grave stone. THEY HAVE A PICTURE OF HIM DOING A FULL VERTICAL WHEELIE WITH NO HELMET ON! ON HIS F'KING GRAVE STONE!!!!!
I'm not certain but I think he even had one hand reached out and touching the head light.

23 Jun 2005 15:01 They never said that incinerator road was a popular spot for this sort of activity. When the reporter was standing on the road, you could see countless marks from burn outs from both cars and bikes! They also DID NOT mention that he wasn't wearing any safety gear, not even a helmet and he died from HEAD INJURIES!!!!!!!
Biased reporters! Who are they tying to grill? The law enforcement?!?!? Why? He was probably sick of wasting tax payer dollars chasing the f!Łkes off the road and now he has to send someone out to save one of their lives. The same SOBs that show him no respect! That cause all kinds of trouble and break every conceivable traffic law when they get to gather?!?! They should report on the stupidity of what the f!Łking kid was doing! How many traffic tickets he had or how many times he out ran the cops. Or at least mention the fact that what he was doing was ILLEGALE! It's ******** like these reporters and dumbass kids that **** me off and give sport bike riders a bad name.
I would just like to add for our UK friends, that over here the police have a genuine concern for public safety. If I were to call and report a crime in progress they would call everybody within a few minutes of my location. They would even stop writing out a traffic ticket to get to the crime scene, and leave the traffic violator off with a verbal warning. I have seen this.
So this sort of public slander against our police force is totally unacceptable. I believe that his punishment was fitting and tarnishes is perfect record. His frustration was clear and warranted. But at least he could have told the kids he dispatched the EMTs. I would speculate that if a civil suite were to be brought against the officer, the plaintiffs would have their asses handed to them on a platter.
