That's BS no matter how you look at it. If I go out and buy a cage that's not FI, and I come to the forums to tell everyone how great it is, that's NOT advertising. That's tell of my personal experience.

So are you saying if FI invents a new kind of wheelie, and pays to advertise their wheelies, that no one can show any pics or give any praise about anyone else's wheelies.???

That attitude is GGGAaaaaaaaaabbbbaaaageeee!!!
i used to work for a certain grocery store that was a major business and even they still take semi-exclusive contracts...even though you could buy coke there, there was always a huge Pepsi display and pepsi give-aways...point being i am a small business owner also and you just can't make it and still please everyone...i'm gonna buy a cage and bar eventually and it's gonna be from FI because i support those who support me and stuntlife has been a huge influence and a great source of information i proudly display my stuntlife decals on my bike, car, and even the apartment door, stuntlife dosn't pay me to do this but i feel i owe it to shugga for giving me a place to make friends and get info
if you don't like it LEAVE...it's not a monopoly...it's a partnership...FI is not attacking other companies, they are jsut defending their territory
i have nothing to do with either company, i just think you shouldn't bash someone for keeping their word and trying to make their business work

and shugga if i can do anything to help just lemmie know...i owe alot of my skill to this site
and if you need a place to rest instead of a motel when you move, there are alot of us between Chi-town and Dallas that'll let ya crash

Uhhh that sounds like telling about your personal experience. Not advertsing. Yes you are correct.

Thanks for clarifying that for us all.

Now thanks so much for coming here and posting more BS. Do me a HUGE favor.... Read ALL the posts here by me. OK?
Then your question would have been answered already and you wouldnt have had to post more BS drama.

Would you like me to give you new forum site suggestions? Im sure you didnt read that post either.

Heyas Shugga I completely respect yer rules, and opinions as to the direction which you want to take stuntlife. It's a business and as such you need to look at the bottom line to insure that you are able to pay bills, etc. The one thing I find interresting is that you have bias moderators regulating what is allowed to be posted, viewed.

jus somethin I noticed, and was wondering if it was intended?

Not many people here care about advertising, they think Im an idiot for not letting anyone say what they want. They also think I should give all my money away cause Im a nice guy. IM sure they think I should pay stunters $1,500 per week for posting here and IM sure they done give 2 shxts if I live die or go broke and cry.

Basicly what Im saying....I had to find someone who does care if there is advertising or not. Most people would care less if I go broke or not. David does care, about the site, the company and me. So he is a moderator, and he does a good job. maybe you think he is changing posts all over, but he isnt. He does what I asked EVERY mod to do and no one else would.

End of story. I might remove him and moderate it all myself. Im KNOW none of you would lik ethat. I used to and instead of dealing with the BS.... I just delete threads and ban people. Choose. NO ADVERTISING... or make me babysit you all?

Im sure youll agree that no advertsing is a good idea now.

Well I picked up a set of frame sliders from FI and was completely surprised at how well I was treated. They were for the cbr600rr and Tim had just gotten a few made at the time I contacted him. He sent them right away and I received them within a week. Since they were brand new he did not have any pics or instructions for the install so he sat on the phone with me at 6:00 at night and walked me through everything. Thats going way above whats necessary, thanx

Its just hurting you, not us. You have done a hell of a job making a site that has a many members as it does and as many hits a day as it does and you don't have to go look for advertising because companies are trying to pay you to advertise here. The only reason you aren't making more money than you are is because you choose to engage in contracts that limit your revenues. We are just trying to give our experience of cages first hand to hook other riders up for the love of the game

well here we go

i myself am sponsored by FI and it has saved me alot of money on parts and a lot of fun when i did crash that the **** was still intact and i could ride for the rest of the day
do i like the product

yes

but i thought that this forum was to discuss stuntriding and all aspects of the sport

advertising is when you pay and you get a special spot that everybody can see you nomatter what

the treads are us talking about our lives and experinces

so if you edit peoples post about their opinion and lives why would people come to your board

its kinda like the cool people at school tellin everyone not to talk to the band geeks
but not

its not a monopoly its communism

this does not reflect how i feel about everyone involed just how i see buisiness should be handled

Can't we all just hold hands and stare at rainbows while singing child like songs to remind us of the simple times. I love everyone won't you come and join me. Try this song, I love you, you love me, I ride with FI all around me with a great big crash and a 12 from me to you won't you ride with FI too.

Man this thread is nutz !!
I do think that Shuggs has limited his revenue by giving exclusive advertising rights to FI...but hey I'm sure at the time it was the right decision in his mind and now it appears he is holding up his end of the deal....I dont know Shuggs but damn it doesnt make awhole lot of sense to bash him when it sounds like he is doing whatever he can to make StuntLife work !! I'll be honest, I go to work everyday and there is no way in hell I would consider quiting to make a "go of it" in the stunt business....Mad props to Shuggs for taking that chance. Lets give him the benefit of the doubt...But damn Shuggs if the website is really this busy you have got to find other ways of generating revenue...Especially with such a huge user base.
Personally I have had positive xperiences with Fi and would consider buying from them again....There are good arguments on both sides of the coin here as censorship in general is a bad thing..This is a forum and every effort should be made to avoid censoring any posts other than the obvious....But it does seem that every cage thread started even the ones that start off just sharing riding experiences turn into a free for all advertising for all of the new up and coming cage designs. Everyone has a buddy who can make one cheaper etc etc...
A difficult issue to make go away smoothly. But 1 thing is for sure all of this negativity cant be helping FI's image...
Cheers
SK

DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT I HAVE DONE FOR THIS SPORT AND WHAT IM STILL DOING?
I have dedicated my life to it. I would go on and give examples, but if you are anyone who knows anything you should already know.

Unreal. Why are you here on my site if you are going to talk to me like that?

in no way was that directed towards you. it was completely and entirely directed at FI. a company that wont let YOU sell anyone elses products. i believe that if you could sell all cages and all other parts like 50s & **** like that then your store would succeed way more and your life would be easier. i have nothing but respect for you and am extremely grateful you have given stunters a home. sorry if you took my coments personal but they werent directed at you. ive asked for advertisement many times out of respect for you and i dont try to advertise on here anymore out of respect for you. instead i have gone to sponsoring pro riders to actually help the sport grow. dont really want to get into the things im doing to help out the riders but they all know the deal and i think they are pleased by it. in due time you will see that im real about this **** and hopefully all this bullshit will stop. mqybe you will be able to turn your small biz that makes minimal profits into a huge company that can basically run itself. again sorry for the miusunderstanding

geesh!

I try to imagine for a minute, if I owned a fabricating shop, and I created my own product, and then decided instead of harrassing people with pop up adds, or putting adds on the radio, that 75% of the people wouldn't even understand, instead of this, I'd sponser a forum.

The money for the forum comes from the sponser, we all know that. The sponser is going to make his money by selling his product, we all know that.

Can Dave Thomas (owner of the Wendys franchise) walk into McDonalds and start handing out coupons? Of course not, he wouldn't try, he knows the business is big enough to support him without him having to violate another companies rights.

If I was sponsering this forum would I want another company coming in here and selling it's product? Heck no, of course no. would it make a difference to me if it was the owner of the company, or somebody that found it on e-bay? Nope, I wouldn't want it on my site period. What can possibly be the outcome?
There is no way anything GOOD is going to come of such a post, for the sponser of the site that as. "Hey everybody, whatever happened to that FI guy?" "Well, everybody bought those crap cages off e-bay, then when the stuff broke up real quick, if gave them a bad taste for cages altogether..."

There are plenty of things to talk about without ranting about brand x stunt cage. It is incredibly disrepectful to go to a site that is sponsered by FI and put up a poll saying "what brand of blah blah blah do you think is best?" I wouldn't want it to happen to me if I had the FI business. It basically takes what is supposed to be a dream job, stunting, selling gear, and providing a place to meet and chat, and puts it constantly under the gun.

That's my two cents, if you disagree 100 percent that is fine, you'll get no animosity from me, there is room on here for all of us.

and if you need more help then why not get a friend to help you? just give him a little piece of the pie and make him work for free. mabye if its only 10% it will at least give you more time to work on other **** that needs to get done and im sure the extra time it takes to get you product out will be gone. this will then make more people buy from you and you will easily be making more than that 10% you gave a friend. i want a couple thing for my bike like a sprocket & chain & brakes but i cant buy them from you because your store is closed right now. im sure there are more people that need **** too but are forced to go to thier local shop instead of here. little things like this will help your biz grow. even if you ban me & dont want me back here you should still hit me up so i can help you figure out some of you biz problems. i only want to see the sport & this site grow. without this site, many poeple would not be out doin stupid **** on their bikes. i got some more ideas that may help too. you dont have to call me if you dont want to but i think i can help you in the biz aspect. i help run a multi-million a year corp. and have a pretty good understanding of how to turn a small company (10 man, 100,000a year) that had to be baby sat the entire time into a large company (200 person multi-million a year) that basically runs itself. heres the number, feel free to call whenever- 909-212-7400 leave a message if i dont pick up.
