whats the right way to use the brake?

when you work the brake, are you supposed to just tap it when you start to go back, or are you supposed to ride it lightly the whole time?

personaly, i only tap it as needed, riding it can result in overheating/brake fade

Exactly! If you just ride it your brake fluid will overheat/boil and lose your rear brakes all together. Let the engine brake do most of your work for you.

rearbrake fade sucks.

on my carburated YZF750 from 93 it is hard to keep a steedy slow pase close to 12 without using the rearbrake. it is kinda jerky.

I have been successful sometimes though and it does feel smooth and stuff.

friend of mine just flipped his 929 and broke the engine into 2 pieces because he was learning to 12 and rode the brake so hard he completley lost it.

Moral of the story... Just lightly tap the brake.. never ride it
