How do stunt bikes hold their value?

I'm looking at a used 2002 CBR f4i that's already fully stunted out, clean title for $3900 (I'll knock em down a little bit). With I'm guessing an additional $500 in title transfer fees (yay Kalifornia), my primary concern is money. See, I can do wheelies and ride hard but I have no idea if stunting is something I'll stick with. The odds that I **** around with it for 9 months and decide to sell it are significant, I think.

Say I sell this thing in a year or whatever. How well do stunt bikes hold their value? We know they're beat to **** and abused, that's what they're for. But I'm wondering about the stunt market (bay area, if you're otherwise any info you can provide is still valuable) and if anyone has had experiences selling stunt bikes.

Thanks!

If you buy it cheap enough it will hold its value. Stunt bikes tend to be cheap though and that seems a little steak for a stunted out 17 year old bike. I would try to buy it for around 3000 or less.
