How to wheelie a 250 dual sport?
So I own a klx250s completely stock. I start practicing wheeling my dad’s XR650L and can get the front wheel off the ground consistently but have to pull on the handle bars and lean back as far as I can on the back of the bike to get it up while popping he clutch. Considering the XR is a little under double the hp and torque will I even be able to get the 250 up in second gear or will I have to use a different technique? I don’t want to change the gearing as I need the top end for the street.

practice. practice on things that you find easy to wheelie so you dont hurt yourself of the bike. learn to use the rear brake. You might have a hard time to wheelie the KLX but I assure you it will wheelie, it just might be a bike for someone that has more seat time. I just sold a CRF230 and find that it was kinda shitty to wheelie, short gears and I didnt have much confidence in the back brake so I didnt wheelie it much. I bought it to resell so I also didnt want to risk ******* it up.

i had a xl250 honda and i wheelied it in second gear . i was going about 25-30 in second gear and gave it as much throttle as possible that it hit the rev limiter sometimes i could hear it and the pull clutch out becarefull it can flip over its good to know brake control and to catch it practice it . also practice staggered standing up now i have a xr650l (which i looped and broke my arm with)
it comes up with no effort compared to the 250.
