flipping the clip ons on 2003 636

Im having trouble understanding what to do. I have everything took apart but once I flip them the little screw an screw hole are no longer in the same place or same size lol wtf do I do grind off the location tabs? I have no idea

not really sure what your talking about..take a pic..i have an 04 but never had the stock set up on it...i know on my r6 i did it with out any problems...

I cant upload a pic from my phone but I can try to explain.

On the clip on there are to places for screws . One that holds it to the fork an the other to the bottom side of the mount of the clamp. Once I flipped the bars the screw is not long enough because the whole is further away from the original setup.

I really wish I could post a pic an show what im talking about

I just flipped mine on my r6.. I went to the hardware store n got the same bolt only about an inch longer.. Seems to be holding so far.. I didn't wanna depend on just the pinch bolts.. Even though that's all that's on my 600rr..

see thats the thing is that on the clipons i have on both of my bikes theres only the pinch bolts on them but then again on my 636 i got the vortex zero degrees and on my r6 i have woodcraft...so that extra screw your talking about i have never seen because ive never had the stock ones on it...to me those pinch bolts are more then enough..

I just put everything back together before reading the tread.

Is the pitch bolts good enough to rock or what. Lol I got pissed last night an gave up on it lol

Yep - cut of the locating tabs... Flip upper tripple, and put clips on top of the upper.. Go riding..
