Re: 900RR A Good Start??

if you don't buy i will lol. Great bikes owned 5 of them. If they sit for a while you need carbs cleaned and change plugs. Thats all.

Re: 900RR A Good Start??

2nd on the carb clean. I bought my '98 900rr in 2004 in Florida... in near mint condition and it didn't run either. I got it home, read a few tutorials on how to clean carbs, and 5 hours later I was the happiest guy in the city. Have someone else do it if you're not technically inclined, but I cleaned the jets with a thin wire pulled out of a wire brush and the bike never let me down. Make sure the gas tank doesn't have rust on the inside. If it does clean it out before you clean the carbs or you will be doing it twice. Worst case scenario for you is you buy a used engine if yours is totally fuqt for $300.
