cages cages and cages what you need to know about safety
What Freestyle Ingenuity does and thinks about when building cages.
1. Our cages are not in the way of the rider.
2. A cage should not change turning or leaning radius and if it has to it should be a minimum change.
3. When the cage is on the bike it should look like a factory component.
4. Strong as well as transfer the impacts to offset stresses on the motorcycle.
5. All components of the cage should be individually replaceable to cut costs of maintenance.
6. When any cage sustains damage, removal to replace any damaged parts should be easy. This also insures that with severe cage damage you can remove the cage without damaging the motorcycle or having to cut the cage off the bike.
7. Lightest weight
8. Made from the best materials. The tubing is 4130 Chromoly, Side Struts are 1018 cold drawn steel, sliders made from solid bar of 12L14 steel and all Hardware is grade 8 or greater.

F.I. cages were the **** back in the day when it was the only option. Now they are just ****. Sorry but I'm not a big fan of broken stator/ clutch covers and motor mount bolts all of what F.I. cages give you on a hard drop. Cage maintenance? what the hell is that? it should be a bolt on and forget about it thing like all the others...
Sorry but that's just how it is....

FI cages are perfect for minty street pieces or track guys..i wouldnt change a thing..they just arent good enuf for hard lot abuse..FI should just design/build a "stunt" cage and keep the old designs as the "street" cage...

**** you FI cages you ate my right motor mount.
Some might say its my fault for not keeping it tight but i compulsively check over my bike and my bolts were always tight.
FI cages just suck

tell it lets you down then you are kicking yourself in the *** for buying it
They hold up to small falls, maybe you can get lucky and take some big hits, but it's pretty easy to see from a design stand point that other cages are designed to be way better for taking repeated hard falls
