BIG F4i stunt building thread, need help!

from stock to complete stunt!
Yes I know I can use the search on the forum and I have. but now I want to read some fresh up to date! answer on what's hot and not
what I need is a

cage
rear brake set
12bar
cleen air mod
new slim rear light (if I'm going to shop of the tail)

for a cage I'm thinking of a tygershark because I like the idea of having shockabsorbing frame sliders

any suggestions on what? were? best price? quality?

Re: BIG F4i stunt building thread, need help!

I just got done installing a rear handbrake on my F4i and I couldn't get it to fit right on stock clip ons. I ended up going with some Stuntex clip ons for the extra length. As for Tygershark having "shock absorbing" sliders, I wouldn't buy it just on those grounds. It's more of a gimmick than anything. Just my 2 cents.

Re: BIG F4i stunt building thread, need help!

my tygershark on my 636, the 'shock absorbing sliders' were great for full on pancakes, but if you dropped in on burnouts or an average drop from a slow wheelie it actually hit the lower portion of the cage first and put a massive amount of force on the motor mounts at a nasty angle. It ended up breaking the motor mounts on my frame and I had to get it fixed. No experience with this cage for the f4i but...

Hollywood Stunts new cage looks pretty sick for the price but I havent read any reviews on it.

Iv been reading some bad things about the A-Town cages but have heard they are resolving/have resolved the issues with it.

Sick innovations has been a tried and true cage for years and just stepped up their game by fixing the big complaints and flaws with the design.

The Freestyle cage I always thought looked too flimsy to hold up to any read drops but I have pancaked my f4i a couple times on it and it has help up well without any serious damage. It is a simple cage that I think looks sick as hell on FF bikes because of the low profile.

As far as subframe cage - Whats hot is the same as its been since I got in the game, OMR for life!!!

Clip ons- Love Vortex, but the woodcraft clip ons with the built in risers look sick, havent heard how they hold up yet though.

You definantly made the right choice with the RSC - Im still saving my pennies for that little gem!!!

3 local guys I ride with run Tygershark cages on f4is. All are sick riders and I have yet to hear or see any complaints. Go look at the top 10 XDL riders and tell me what cages they have.... I already know though. No hate on SI or Atown. Both sick as hell too. But really, I just rode with Randy Callicoat for the last week, and he doesn't even run the connector bar on his 636 Tygershark. I know. The f4i doesn't even have one. It's not needed. The mount on solid *** areas on the f4i. Any of the 3 are gonna do what you want it to.

Re: BIG F4i stunt building thread, need help!

impaktech cages are the business!!!! got my vote and support!!! everyone i know w a 636 is rocking em and ive saw them on the f4i also....they look and work awsome...if your gonna run full fairing i would het a set of s.i. side mount clip ons they are awsome for clearence issues and if you street fighter then they make front mounts also.... you can put however long or short of a bar you want in them...

Mini guinea (bryan) just had someone weld up his motor mount and he runs a SI cage... Its going to happen with any cage if you pancake hard enough. I sell everything you need for your F4i, just let me know what you have yet to buy and ill be glad to help you out!

Re: BIG F4i stunt building thread, need help!

many thanks! I'm gonna look in to the cage issue later. but for now I also need new brakedisks for my front brake. it wobbels and feels like I got a abs!

and the engin sounds like an old diesel!

gonna get my valves checked/adjusted. hope its nothing worse

if it is, I dont have the energy to take the wole thing apart. I just ride until its dead instead!
