Re: 1000rr front end on 600rr

The fact that the 1000rr front is better for endos plus the seals dont blow as easy and if im not mistaken i need to change my front rim also to a 1000rr and the rotors .... it makes it easier to endo the bike , better front end, i just dont know what year 1000rr fits my bike.?

Re: 1000rr front end on 600rr

if i can find a 1000rr front end im willing to sell you my 600rr front .... plus the rotors being bigger then the 600rr are better when locking the brake seeing how youd also need the bigger calipers..

Re: 1000rr front end on 600rr

dont swap em, theres not that big of a difference, ur not going to be any better at stoppies, if you were on a 03-04 and wanted inverted forks than yes... or if you were a rolling maniac like parrish and blowing seals then id say try it.. if ur just doin a pop a stop and not rollin ****, then switch the seals and practice

yeah, you just need spacers for the caliper mounts. The 600RR uses top mount calipers, so if you increase the rotor diameter by 20mm then you'll need 10mm spacers. Understand?

Re: 1000rr front end on 600rr

Dont do it.

No offense, but you're not going to out ride that '05 600RR front end any time soon. It's really not even an upgrade since they are both great front ends - Inverted and Radial. The 1000RR just has slightly larger tubes.

As far as blowing seals... that's the rider not the forks. Changing fork seals is pretty cheap and easy anyways. Just work on being smooth and that 600 front end will be more than enough.

Re: 1000rr front end on 600rr

seen it on F4i with no problems just switched triple trees/forks/brakes and wheels. Spacers "should" be the same since the triples set the wheel spacing. Use your 600RR bearings.

Re: 1000rr front end on 600rr

Why bother changing front end's?? I'm pretty sure there both the same and if ur having problems blowing seals why not rebuild ur stock front end? stifen up the front diffrent oil weight and so on and so forth? thats what i would do.
