bought an f2 wiith a salvage title anyway to register it
ok so today i bought a streetfighter f2 stunt bike for 900 bux and was told it has a clean ny title well like a retard i didnt look at the title till i got home and its a salvage is there anything i can do to ride it on the streets?? i was told u could by a title from someone else thats cleanfor the same year bike(93) and take the VIN off thats ob it now and by a stamp kit and stamp the new VIN on it ?? any ideas .. i mean its great for a lot bike buyi dont have a trailer and id like to rideiton the streets once n a while any ideaswould be appreciated thanks!

the only drawback from a salvage title is that u cannot get full coverage on the bike...thats all..
and yes u can register it..
and ps...ur idea on wat to do is exactly what bike theifs do when they steal a bike..so watch what u say

you need to can it. what happened to him is the **** i would expect to see you pull. no...you wouldnt do that...you would just take the money and they would never get the bike.
now what you can do that will probably be cheaper and a lot more legal. go to this site:

make sure your bike meets all the requirements for your state for it to be street legal. request an inspection at the dmv. they will schedule an inspection for you. If you pass, they will give you a rebuilt title. That means it is legal for the street again, but it has been wrecked before.

My 99 was a salvage title and register and insured just like normal. Did it come with registration? Here a vehicle gets 1 set of plates that stay with the bike or car when sold or what ever. If not the DMV may have to inspect it to deem it safe for the road then on your way.

Well no ideas for yah... but if you want a new frame for it i have a clean title frame.... Or hell i could just sell you the title i guess? Its just sitting in the garage in peices

just go register it?? if its salvage, either it has already been inspected and can be licensed, or you have to have a inspector come and look at it, and make sure everything good, and then u can register it... o and why cant u have full coverage on a rebuilt title??

due to potential damage that was overlooked or figure its more likely to go down again or since it was bought at a discount theres no way to assess an actual total value.
