ok i droped my bike from 12 about a week ago, picked it up nothing wrong with it, After about 10 minutes of riding it sounded like its skipping. so i went home cleaned the carbs, put in new plugs and new fuel and its still doing it. The bike has plenty if power and idles fine but it sounds stupid as ****. Any help on what this could be???

well sir i happen to own that same bike and do alot of work to it, does it sputter all the time? or only when you rev it up? and does it to it while moving? or when its sitting still? or both?

kinda always but the idle pulls smooth and it pulls fine all threw out the rpm's. its more anoying than anything

when you cleaned the carbs, did you clean the screen on the fuel inlet? and i also had a very similar problem that would run funny pull ok but intermitanly **** up and it wound up being the pilot screws backed themselve the hell out and fucked my idle alllll up.

yup sounds exactly like mine did, pop the carbs off it, and the hose the feeds the fuel to the carbs, the fitting that hose goes on at the carbs has this little ****** screen inside it you can pull out with pliers and clean, and then with them ALL the way out , if you turn them around so you looking and the side of the carbs facing the motor, you will see a little hole on each carb with a little brass pin should be close to flush with the hole , if ANY are not the same then they moved and you need to put them back to their proper setting which is the fun part, drilling out the plugs lol. hers some pics to help you. BE SURE TO LOCKTIGHT THEN SILICONE THE PLUG HOLES YOU DRILL OUT SO THE PILOT SCREWS DONT MOVE.

yea you got it right, drill those little brass plugs out, use a bit just a bit smaller then the plug and go untill its comes out or you got all the way through the plug, once its out you will see the screw and its flat head to adjust, make sure you adjust them all the same, toss it together and see how it runs. did you check that filter?

haha noooo problem i spent ALOT of time trying to figure out wtf was going on with mine, linked it to constantly plugging that screen so i added two inline filters in the fuel line, and found one cyl just like yours where i pilot screw walked itself in and blocked proper fuel flow even tho the pilot is mostly for idle, i could only notice it while reving the bike, not to mention once i fixed it, HUGE gain in idle pull and overall power, dude ive modified mine so heavily you wouldlnt even know thats what it is.
