anyone every try fitting..

Has anyone here tried fitting johnnyp's fairing stay from a 05-06 into a 03-04?? Only because my friend is selling his for a good deal...I've pmed johnnyp about it but still waiting for his response. If anyone has tried it please post how it was done, thanks.

the upper on the 05 06 is way lower then the 03 04 so i doubt it would line up very good

yea since i'm not really riding the lots like i used to...to be honest i have not been riding at all this year, maybe a couple of times in the winter and that's about it.

Roger, i have my upper cut pretty low (cut right under the mirrors)...maybe if i welded something to it( the 05-06 stay fairing)?? Any ideas?? thanks

can you be more specific? I would think it wouldnt work well, but how? Will it bolt on, or line up to the frame (to the air duct, the four bots)? If it does how does it fit when you put on the upper fairing? Too low, too hight?

well my friend did it to his bike and it look like it got punched in the face . but then again my friend could probably have the right parts and it wouldnt look right either

well you can buy one from DCP and they r sellin it for durty cheeeeeep..i think its around 130 bucks for stay fairing. also itlooks sick too.
