tire pressure poll

what tire pressure do you run

and if your running it really high did you start with your pressure lower and work your way up?

ive been running 21 psi(up from my norm 16) for around a week+ thinking if i keep practicing on it eventually everything will click but its the same crap.. i just end up riding around in a huge oval and i dont feel as comfortable as i normally do

Re: tire pressure poll

I used to run lower pressure learning back in the day on the 9 but after I got good and I got a f4i I never ran it lower than 20 to start and now i love my 26-28 depending on the tire. more pressure is floppy at first till you realize how to control it and then it's MONEY. and you guys running 34 and 35 and 38 pounds of pressure if it's for real can you do fast SS o's on that pressure?

the higher the pressure the faster and wider you will go, just make sure you have a decent tire......sometimes i will bump a brand new supermax up to about 45 to 50psi and see how wide i can go....fun ****

the only thing bad about running 40 in the front is when you start getting good and fast lean angles on burnouts you have more of a chance to slide

well I can go real fast and wide with 26 in the Dunlop Qualifiers, and I tried more and I can feel and hear it kinda squeeling out on me. the other 2 tires I used that went nice and wide and had the same results on pressure was the pirelli diablo corsa and the pilot power 2ct. wonder if it's me weighing 230 that makes it slippy. I am going to try next time with some more pressure and see if it makes a difference. could just be in my head.

Re: tire pressure poll

35 to 42 depending on the tire
Faster wide circles, faster tight circles, super control, everything is better. Amen.

Re: tire pressure poll

ill do 10 psi at shows and really grimey city stunt sessions, here in DC/VA theres no surface thats flat anywhere, and the booty flat tire helps with a more consistent stable wheelie on really bad surfaces.

yea you gotta work a lil harder on the circles and they end up being slower, and burnouts suffer, but it really helps you adapt to a bad environment

Re: tire pressure poll

stock pressure on everything now. I used to run with 10 or 15lbs, after a while I found myself increasing the pressure little by little, now I feel much better control with stock pressure.
