Since I no longer work at a Motorcycle shop I had no one to cut my stock pipe. The guys at my new office use the Mexican repair shop next door. The guy finally brought his sawzall and cut and welded my F4i Pipe today. I gave instructions and he did a nice job (about 7 or so inches shorter, near the header side). A nice fat, strong weld with a little grinding. Overall I was very happy till he told me $100. I guess Its reasonable but what do you think?

Just tell him if you knew if was going to be $100 you wouldn't have done it, Then kick him $50 bucks for the work. He should be happy, I mean its $50 bucks! Thats like 20 or so lawns he won't have to mow this week!

Oh I know and it sucks. The pipe was free so I guess I got a $100 pipe. I just thought he seemed cool and the guys I work with have gotten sick deals. A Full exhaust for a jeep for $350 installed. I will not use him again, and his squid f^&%cking son almost wrecked when he rode the bike to me in the parking lot. He said my brake was adjusted too tight. ***

dude im a welder and work on million dollar machines and ill cut it weld it ship it back to you look better then any weld on your bike for that . I hate welders who think there ***** worth 100 $ an hr . something like thats cake work took me 30 mins to cut and weld my buddies. its not like he was welding somthing thats hard and you shouldnt have to grind your welds on something like that maybe file it to make it perfect . grinders are for mig welders uless he was cleaning for the weld.
dont mean to be a hatter but its not worth it for a pipe you may kill after droping your bike .

I dont give a **** if ppl ride my bike in a lot. Its always funny. Bikes dont last forever anyways. Also I have several pipes I just wanted a super quiet one and in the end I have it. But yeah he ripped me off

if you got another f4i stock pipe or any pipe that will slip on the f4is header ill take it off your hands im looking to run a shorty to . im running a dnd and it sounds like im on a 1000 with open exhaust . how much louder did it get when you shortened it . my buddies 2 bros wasnt a big difference but did get loud

My **** is nice and smooth now. Not much louder. You have to cut the part near the headers though. Theres an empty chamber there. Cut Maybe 7 inches. I was running a Race shorty exhaust before that blew my head off

He should have at least took you to dinner and a movie or somethin.
I guess it really pays to have access to **** like that and mad resources.
I actually got a customer of my machine shop to powder coat a **** load of parts for free.
But at least like you said, the pipe was free.
Im will always hook up peeps if they need **** done.
