Thumbs down CBR 1000RR Stunt bike setup.

Hey guys, (and girls) I'm trying to find out what is a good sprocket size for my 2006 CBR 1000RR to stunt with. I put a 56 tooth on it but damn it seems like a bit much. I've just purchased a 50 tooth for it so I hope that'll work out a little better. I realize that there aren't a lot of liter bikes that stunt but, I'm pretty happy with it so far. Stock gearing on it is 16 Front 42 Rear. (and don't try to tell me its 41 cuz its not. They changed that in 06 ) I put an F.I cage on it which worked out pretty good. I've taken all the fairings off of it. (which I didn't want to but stunting is expensive enough without having to buy all new plastic) So if anyone stunts or has a friend who stunts a liter bike, I'd sure like to get your advice.

Thanks to all, Joshua

Re: CBR 1000RR Stunt bike setup.

I tried stunting it with stock gearing but its just to laggy in the bottom end for me. My wheelies are getting slower and slower and the bike tends to stall out at a much slower speed then I'd like it to.

Re: CBR 1000RR Stunt bike setup.

I run -1 +12 on my 954rr, thats a 55 rear, a bit twitchy. I had to rely a bit on a raised idle to get away from the sensitive throttle.

Re: CBR 1000RR Stunt bike setup.

1000rr is nothin like a 54..

u prolly wont want much than that 50....i remember darius saying that +5 was all he needed max....and i think manny from outermost has darius's yellow blue 06

ask him bout it....

i just get a lil idle on mine, all stock idle as high as it goes(bout 2000 maybe 2100 on a blip)

Werd, I've been thinkin bout takin my couter sprocket back to stock. The 954's got a donk load of down low, I agree the -1/+12 in sorta unneccesary.

i had a opporitunity to rock a 954 recently.... very peculiar bike, 600 feel, MASSIVE POWER.

i think i liked it, i might get one. it has that twitchy yamaha-esc throttle, and huge suzuki type tourqe.... i have been hesitant to ride a 1000rr, but maybe i should try my friends and see what its about .

Re: CBR 1000RR Stunt bike setup.

the 1000's arn't particularly "stunt bikes' but for the street they would be awesome stock or at the most 5 up with a hand brake and a better damper
