Re: tank wheelies

Lots of arm strength. thats the key! And also lean back so that your *** is forward of your head if you know what I mean. You have to find that perfect balance on the tank.

Re: tank wheelies

be careful skateboard grip tape will start to tear your jeans after a while but works amazing, try getting some stuff from a hardware store for steps on a porch or whatever its grippy but wont tear jeans as bad and the skate grip tape tends to come apart slightly and the small grains will scratch your tank sometimes when you go to slide back off. i just got a dented tank but was doing spreaders all last summer with my stock one, just a couple 3 inch pieces of grip tape around the fuel cap is about all you should need, and dont wax your tank ever, or do just the sides and not around the fuel cap, the further you lean back the higher you can get your legs and the better it looks. good luck

Re: tank wheelies

I say just get an extra shitty stunt tank, tanks are easy to put on and take off anyway.

Re: tank wheelies

^ he is right... u'll never do good spreaders without a dented tank... no point in doing them unless you do them correctly.

Re: tank wheelies

Buy a tank off a wreckded bike, couple hard landings and your tanks gonna be bent from your weight comin down on it, especially if you get some ***** and try a highchair.

Re: tank wheelies

I started out using surfboard grip. It's cheap, won't tear your jeans, and comes in any color or design you need. After a while you will realize that you will have to give in, like the majority of us, and just dent the damn thing in.

dont wax you tank for one. go to auto zone and wherever and get yourself some paint cleaner, gets all the wax off and leave you with just the clear coat. so it isnt so slick... just wash it from now on and you should be good. NO WAX! hahaha
