Re: best wheelie sprocket combination

Dude, I got an 05 636 as well. The stock 43 on the back is fine for highway stuff... I think the 05 636 is the freakin smoothest bike and easiest to find the bp on. I just can't bring mine up in 3rd with the stock sprocket.
I would get used to it stock then maybe go -1 / +2 and try that.

yeah, that's how i learned..

r1's **** for several reasons, they are race bikes, not stuntbikes, bp on them sucks, suspension sucks in on you when u hit bp, and they are fragile, i have witnessed several r1's explode in front of me

id say clutching is better than throttln (safer). Baby step everything if u dont wanna get hurt.

Re: best wheelie sprocket combination

Def clutch, power doesn't do ****

and to get this out of the way if your trying highway wheelies DON"T CLUTCH 1st gear up. Thats retarted.

the best way is to put it in 2nd, do stand ups, and just give some throttle and pop the clutch and cover the rear brake. and everytime u see how it does and u get comfortable with it give it more throttle each time till you see where at it is going to come up..but always cover the rear brake

and like someone said it just takes seat time...**** doesn't come over night or by everyone telling u what to do or how to do it

just get on the bike and keep playing with it till you figure it out yourself:YEAH

I would take the advice above from Crash, but I have one question...If you're stuntin, why are you worried about top end power? I said it earlier in this thread, the '05 636 is a wheelie machine...even stock. I have the same bike VVVVVVVVVVVVVV

Re: best wheelie sprocket combination

Forget what that guy says about the R1. Sounds like someone who wants one but cant afford one. That's a hell of a good bike. You can learn on any of them. And if your not gonna stunt 100 percent of the time then r1 gonna be perfect for you.. take your time and kats kill wheelies on r1s all the time..
