Which supermoto to get??
Hi,
I sold the XR600 supermoto, so right now I'm looking for something new.
I hope someone can help me out...
1) 4 stroke supermoto/dirt bike
2) As light as possible
3) Good engine for stunting
4) The less maintenance/rebuilts, the better
5) Reliable!!
I know some of these things don't go together, but which supermoto comes out BEST??
Thanks for any help of you guys and sorry for my English (I'm Belgian).
Cheers,
Jerre

Re: Which supermoto to get??
yamahas are pretty decent really.
everyone has a honda...i try to stray away from what everyone else has.
ktms are good...but kinda pricey.
suzuki and kawi have only been out a year or two...id wait another year so all the bugs are worked out of them.

Re: Which supermoto to get??
DRZ looks good, but is slow indeed. I might getting something faster.
CRF looks great, but do need ALOT of maintenance right?
Any other opinions? Ktm 400 exc, yz 400, ... I heard these require less maintenance then 450's, is that correct?
Greetz,
Jerre

Re: Which supermoto to get??
the paperwork on KTM's allow you to get pretty much any of them road legal. and the 450exc is a nasty bike with dumb power for days.
or get the already road legal 625 SMC...we just got one in the dealership here today...it's super nice.

Re: Which supermoto to get??
Husqvarna , there built tougher than the jap bikes and very easy to maintain. The SMR 450, 510 or 610 all come streetlegal . Brembo brakes all around make endos easy. There double the HP of a DRZ 400 and about 80lbs lighter. You don't have to rebuild the engine all the time like the rest of the bikes. Husqvarna is by far the best bang for the buck.
