Re: How was the first (bigbike) stuntrider of the world?

Yea people used to ride wheelies and stuff back in the day. But I think to most american stunters the starboyz were the originators to the way most of us ride. They rode straight streets and still mostly do. I think our riding style is completely different from anywhere else even though we are conforming to the way they ride. I'm not saying its a bad thing because they do shows and stuff. But where I'm from EVERYONE would rather watch a starboyz video and says they are the OG's then watch someone else riding a wheelie back in the day at some little contest. But thats just my opinion. starboyz were the first ones I saw and they got me hooked and are still my favorite.

Yes, Gary was the stuntriding new history's one of the first face. I meant under new history that the old history was when Doug Domokus and Arto Nyquist did tricks on the streets and made shows during the break offs of the Formule 1 races
Gary was one of the first competitor, who entered the early European Championships in the middle of the 90's. :YEAH

Anybody has got another information?
Wheelies down the highway dont count. Otherwise you would have to count all the people that did stunt shows on the old Harleys and Indians back in the day.

You need to look at big bike stunt riding (burn outs, endos, feet over the bars, tricks, etc...) Look into Gary Rothwell in England. He was doing stunts in Europe in the early 80s and was performing shows in the US staring in 85 I think.) You may want to check his website for actual data.

Gary made shows from 1992 not in the middle of 80's. In 1985 he was 14 years old.

Here is a picture from 1992 from Gary:

First guys I ever saw "12:00" the bike.

The first person in the STREET that I ever saw "Bring the bike up" was Jon Jon from the Wheelie Boyz and that was in Brooklyn.

WINK 1100 was the first STREET rider I ever saw who 100% "Blew my mind".

This was in the streets in New York City. I don't think these guys knew who Rothwell or A.C. were/are.

It was a totally seperate reality.

Re: How was the first (bigbike) stuntrider of the world?

the first time i met kane he was talkin about domokus and i had never heard of him, so when i got home i ordered the dvd, and everyone i showed it to was pretty much in shock. foot on seat circles on polished concrete with dirt tires, on a two stroke! i think he invented the stoppie flip roll bar thing that Pat Stevens used to rock on the ttr, except he did it on the ATC. He was doing high chairs on the ATC as well, but he called it the upside down wheelie and would scoot his *** up on the bars like a coffin on a dirt bike.

and oh yeah, circle wheelies on a three wheeler???????? what? buy the dvd from his web site.....lol

I think he might have been the first person to rock the handbrake, anyone know for sure?
