ktm RC8 sportbike

I was on the stuntlife chat and showed this bike to some guys. They didnt know about it. Figured more people would like to see it. I can't wait till it gets here. KTM's rep told me it could be here as soon as 2007.rc8 pics

Re: ktm RC8 sportbike

The rep told me it should be here in 2007(fingures crossed). I think it will run about 14k. The bike is ready but KTM has alot of red tape with the EPA about their fuel injection. With polaris and ktm doing business our rep said it will help them get the bikes through the red tape.

the only thing i wonder is where are they going to put the mirrors.....

Re: ktm RC8 sportbike

don't like the looks at all, looks like it should be built in about another 50 years. Looks like it'd be light but actually pretty heavy compared and is probably underpowered judging by the top speed.

Re: ktm RC8 sportbike

the bike is a v-twin, what kind of top speed do you think it will have???
178mph is pretty fast, not many bike have a TRUE top speed of much over that off the show room floor.
*remember you can't use your speedo as a real guage of top speed.

^ from http://www.motorsports-network.com/k...04/RC8/rc8.htm
"KTM LC8 engine. 2-cylinder 4-cycle internal combustion engine, 75º V with balancer shaft, liquid cooled."
they'd have to be retarded to make a new 2 stroke bike

Actually it's 174 and most 1000's, will run 185-190. The difference in power required between the two is huge. I'd guess the thing probably has 125 at the wheel
