What would be best!!!

Well I have a "02" GSXR and was wondering what would be the best performance items to put on to make it easier to do sit down and stand up wheelies! Bike is completly stock except for hotbodies undertail and micron high-mount exhaust! Was thinking sprocket maybe power commander but I don't know. Thanks in advance to all!!!

Go to your local industral business area. And practice, practice, practice. $0. I have the same bike, I can clutch a 3rd gear wheelie on a stock bike. Its the not the bike, its the rider, trust me on this. Plus its all technique, and timing. Save your $$$, or buy a cage instead. You will probably get them down in no time.

before you do anything, you need to get a cage. i make them, there are plenty on the market.

it is a NECESSITY if you are stunting. ask anyone on here and they will tell you the same.

what good is a power commander when your cases are broke and your motor doesnt run

Re: What would be best!!!

i can do small wheelies for small periods of time I want to do long ones for long periods of time. I have not tried to clutch it though it seems like it would be more scary ( not trying to sound like a *****) but havn't tried yet. Maybe I should try stand ups. Is it safe to do 1st gear stand-ups with throttle only?

Re: What would be best!!!

There's a post about learning wheelies on here somewhere.

Just start small. Your bike is definitely capable of wheelies though. Pretty much any bike is. Your's is actually one of the easiest to wheelie. Last time I was on a Gix 600, it felt like i could stand off the seat, pull up on the bars and lift the front tire off the ground.

To go longer, get up higher. And what you think is high, isn't. Like I heard someone say: "You're not high until you're looking down the forktubes to see the road in front of you." One more note, be smooth with the throttle, don't just drop the clutch like I did for the longest, you'll jockey the throttle and get severe weave. Just give it gas and let the clutch out in a swift, but smooth motion.
