F2-F3 Streetfighter

Alright this might sound like a newb problem, but how do i spice all my wires for the blinkers, speedo, and all the other bullshit wires on the front? Would I just splice them and cap em off? Then just hope the bike dosent short out. Also dose any one know how to get moto bars on my bike, with out buying the over priced LsL tripple bar mounts? Thanks

Re: F2-F3 Streetfighter

dont cut anything. All you have to do is unplug the stuff, remove the fairing stay bracket and guages. Then reconnect whatever you have remaining. (they are all different connectors and color coded so you cant screw anything up). Then what i did is just ziptie all the extra wire harness along the right side of the frame, some people jam it behind the front forks, do whatever you want. If its a dedicated stunt bike and you dont want the excess wiring. You can pull the entire harness, split the wire loom, and remove any non-essential wires, then buy some loom at pepboys and put it back together.

do a search on moto bars, or mx-bars, because i've only 'read' about stuff. Most people buy dirtbike risers, you drill 2 holes in the upper-triple clamp, mount the risers, and bolt a set of mx-bars to them. I think alot of people run renthals.

Re: F2-F3 Streetfighter

i'm running a universal bar mount going through the triple. The only prob. I had is that I had to make some spacers in order for the mx bars to clear the tops of my forks. As for the renthals, any aluminum bars should work, steel bends fairly easy.

Re: F2-F3 Streetfighter

So are you all running your stock throttle tubes, brakes clutch, kill, start, ect parts? Will they just slide onto some mx bars? Thanks for all the replys all, Im getting a better idea of what my ***** will look naked.

Re: F2-F3 Streetfighter

my mx bars seem to be just a hair smaller than the stock clip ons but I put some tape under the tube and that fixed it. I'm going to try an mx throttle tube if I can make it work with only one cable.

Re: F2-F3 Streetfighter

Ive seen dual throtle tubes for mx bars. Because of the popularity of 4 strokes in sx. So in that case would I use a dirtbike gas, brake, and clutch perch?
