Classifieds .. Heres the deal
Few facts first:
Users wants em back
Greg needs money so he started Stuntrader
We as mods can't really make a change unless Greg asks. The mods here just help out and recieve nothing.
I fully believe the classifieds were great and helpful.
******Idea and i need help******
Before i go back and open up the forums and probably get my *** handed to me, lets get an idea together first.
The idea was made regarding Contributors being allowed to post and sell.
Questions ?
How much do we charge ? $5 a month ? $50 for a yr ?
Do we allow the whole site to see them and only contributors post ?
Do we make a hidden forum for contributors only?
Whats everyone think ?
Please guys.. lets keep this thread clean and with some honest thought.

Contributors can sell and everyone can post. This will encourage more people to contribute (Greg will be happy) while still allowing the listing of items for sale (makes us happy).

having to pay a monthly or yearly fee doesnt sound to good....
what if i have just one thing i want to sell and i dont plan on parting out a bike or anything and im only gonna get like 10 bucks for it? doesnt sound to appealing to me

Definately only contributors to sell.
May make more money if only contributors can post, too. Just a thought.
But he/whoever does it would have to keep up on getting people their contributor tags. No waiting four weeks for a tag after giving money.

as for adding someones status as a contributor .. i and the other admins have access BUT we dont know if they honestly paid as we dont see the paypal account for SL
and being im in NY, Gregs in TX and Ant's in Maryland .. its sorta hard

but can anyone tell me a Stunt site that has over 30,000 members ?
ps tell me no one wants to pay after u go check stuntrader and see the people paying to sell over there

Contributors can sell....and everyone else can post,
Plus this way since the contributors have to paypal the money to be a contributor, You will really know who they are just incase they try jackin someones ****.. Alot of shady **** goes on around here...

My idea is this...
-Contributors can start threads/post ONLY.
-Non-contributors can view the classifieds forum and PM the posters with offers and what not. (This will eliminate any thread hi-jackers trying to sell in contributors threads)
-Contributors requirements should be affordable. Keeping in mind that some guys will post one part a week and some one a year, I would say $15 minimum to post/year. Start everyone off fresh when the forums open.
Hope this gets in gear soon!!

i'm a fairly new member, so i dont remember what the good old days were like, but yes, bring it back ! it would be better this way !
