supercharger

anyone remember the supercharger kits they sold for 50's? who makes them? any pictures left anywhere? I was telling someone about them and they didnt believe me, then I couldnt find the website that had it.

that first pic of the "blower" is kind of weird.

Every blower i've seen or worked on is on the airbox side of the carb FORCING air into the carb (hence the name blower). That is on the other side so i would assume it sucks the air through the carb? that's really weird and i would think mildly dangerous since it would be compressing air that has atomized fuel in it. If it became hot enough it would ignite the fuel.

its a roots-type blower, used on many street driven cars like f150 lightning, ZR1 corvette and grand prix GTP to name a few. and the fuel actually acts as a coolant..

ah, i forgot that they go after the injector rail on fuel injected cars. i was thinking more centrifugal.
