Thumbs up Pics of my 12:00 bar on my Z400

Here are a few pics of the 12:00 bar I made for my Z400.

I took some pictures of the whole process. I will post a step by step if anyone wants me to.

I re-enforced the subframe with 5/8 Steel Rod, so it should hold up well. I have slammed it pretty hard a few times and it hasnt moved a hair.

Yep,

I just got the Z400 last week. I still have the blaster but my friend is taking over the payments.

I made the bar myself for about 20 bucks I would say.

I used two 18" 5/8 Steel Rod (For subframe support)

A foot of 3/16" X 2" Steel Plate (for the bar itself)

and two 3" lengths of 3/4" steel tube (to lenghten the stock subframe.

A little cutting/welding later and there it is.

I will post some pics tonight of the whole process.

yah post a step by step, we're gonna be doin a bar on a KFX400 next week, the stock one is just about ground through.

it looks like you did it a little further out from stock. seems to sit perfect on the stock bar during 12's....any reason you went further out?

Knowing Bill personally I must say he's a smart guy. I trust his deisgn and put it on my 400EX. I looped it out pretty bad and sent the bike in the air and the bar and sub frame are still mint. Plus I don't lay it back all that easy either.
