Show us yo ride!!

Who's got one of these toys? Lets see em!

Here's my supermoto bike... well... an old school version I guess. It's an '83 XR500R. Took me a month to convert. Still practicing with wheelies. It's got a drum in the rear, so I'm still not scrapin tail... but having a blast playin!

Nice! Looks like you put some hardwork into that thing, it looks real clean now. I don't really have a supermoto bike but I have a fiddy with street tires on it if that counts

Wow nice one mate

kx500 is stupid on the road :YEAH i love it, just as useable as you would exspect. you cant see for vibration and your looking at the sky anyway but track days is what its mainly used for

hows your Xr500 for stunting??? my klr just cant rev fast enough in 1st gear to get it up slow . Then has sooo much engin brakeing and torque its a bit on the sensitive side, stuff in 2nds better but just having issues trying to lean her back my drum brake just dosnt cut it and i am still makeing the mech for the rear disk brake for the supermoto wheels.

It's not bad. It's 21 years old, so there are some "problems" with it. The drum in the back keeps me from really pushing the envelope, so I've got to balance a lot more than with a normal disc brake. The power is good. I can stand it right up in first from a dead stop no problem. Second is a little harder, but it'll come up. Third is outta the question. I live at 10,500ft and at this elevation, the bike has no power on the top end. I've riden it at sea level and I could do stand ups in third with no clutch and fourth with clutch. But up here... it's starving for air. Let's see some pics of the KX pullin wheelies!

Drum brakes work great. My 76 XR75s front brake (drums)works better than the discs on my KX125s. And I can scrape tail on my Xr100 and Ive seen it done a on CRF150s, all drumies.

Well that's great lil feller. Talk to us when you're trying to stop an 81 xr500 with them drum brakes.

Yeah... it's a little heavier than a 125! But the drums are actually working pretty good for me. I've started scrappin the plate and the drum has no problem bringing me back down on 2 wheels.

Re: Show us yo ride!!

I'm totally new to the whole super motard scene, so to clear some things up for me you buy say a 4 stroke dirtbike, put some street tires on it, a headlight and tailight kit, turnsignals etc...and its street legal? If this is the case I gotta get one.

Re: Show us yo ride!!

This was my Husky. I sold it to get a WR for supermoto.

Sold the WR. Just wasn't riding much. Supermoto bikes are a kick in the *** on the street. So much fun.

Re: Show us yo ride!!

N2Bikes - How does the 2 stroke work out for you? Do you use it as a daily driver? I imagine the premix would inhibit long runs.
