If you want to call it Pussing out... then yes... $$$$$$$ Its just a commuter... I am into Sport bikes... Dont really see the point in sticking a bunch of cash into a car thats still going to be slower than my stock bike

I have 3 bikes in my Garage... dont really have the need for speed out of a cager

40k sounds good to me
I want to build the motor myself and just have as a project. I know a couple of guys here in town that are pushing 800+hp

Re: My new Whip

I got it for 10k with 60k miles on it... Didnt really want to spend another 6k for the STi ... Like I said its just a commuter. I was trying to find out which cars got good gas mileage, and held their value the longest, and the WRX's was at the top of the list... With cars being horrible investments, I went with one that wasnt as bad as most.

I do agree its a fun car to drive, and its hard to stay off the gas. I doubt i will mod it much... I went through that phase with my Eclipse GSX it was fun, but not worth the bang for the buck, and was a huge Money pit... not that stunting isnt!

keep in mind when you say "build the motor" is not like you can just throw some forged rods and pistons in there, its a rotary motor.

they are good for some serious horsepower but im tellin you after 40k miles on one of those engines its no good anymore. cant just "rebuild" it.
there was a guy around here that ran a site called "RX7.com" and he had a few 10 second cars coming out of his shop, they ran and looked sick, until they died.

you should just build up a LS-1 and drop it in something. those are good for 650+ all motor with some goodies.

yup they hold their value well... I just didnt want to spend the extra cash... maybe one day I will get an STi and pimp it out... but all the mods kinda take away from its reliability

and that was the key to this purchase
