Not that anyone cares, just thought I'd drop you all a line and tell you that life has finally got better. I'm stationed at the American Embassy in Yerevan Armenia. All that **** I talked when I was home was true, the last two months have been the worst of my life.. 45 days in a row 15 to 18 hours a day classroom instruction.. but it was all worth it. Now I live in the "Marine House" here in Yerevan with 4 other Marines, we have a full time cook, maid, and whole a team of chauffers (sp?). We enjoy full diplomatic immunity, don't pay any taxes locally, that rules. Lemme tell you how far the US dollar goes here: one local brew at an "expensive" bar/club - 90cents. One shot (3 oz at least, these people are nuts) of Armenian Vodka - 80cents. One pack Marlboros 95cents. This place rules. Speaking of the clubs, the women here are absolutly top notch hot, every last one of them is supermodel material, georgous beyond all belief. I actually got some hot chick's phone number the other night (who knows me to talk to girls? seriously) Oh another thing, this is one of the few countries in the world that doesn't hate americans, they're freindly and most speak great english (with that hot russian accent of course). A Marine working under the Dept. of State, all the great aspects of being a Marine, none of the bull **** I LOVE THIS JOB. Probably not enough to re-enlist though, gotta get my degree and be a cop.... a cool cop. I'm outta here. oh by the way, I surf the internet all night cuz I only have to do about 2 hours of work on my 8 hour shift. I'll put up pictures soon, PEACE OUT -- ERIK

Cam, yeah somehow I figured because I didn't want to go to Africa, that's where the Marine Corps would send me! Eastern Europe sure beats the hell out of worrying about AIDS every day. We're nine hours ahead of east coast time. so when its noon for you, its 9pm here. Which is why i love the 930pm to 530am shift, i can get ahold of people back home when i'm sitting around surfing the internet. not much goes on here at night. peace
