i decided to set up my 05 R6 over the winter to stunt it, i need a cage for it, but im torn between 2.... i want the best protection, with the least probability to roll when on its side......
whats your opinions...... Atown or Impakteck???

only prob is im not real good yet, so im a little worried about ruining a nice bike. im prob gonna strit it down and as i get used to it and better go back to FF.

Re: **Post pictures of R6's here**

Maybe not the right topic to ask this question but doing it anyway
Im in the beginnersfase of stunting, not a natural but Ill hope ill get there
I would really love to stunt a r6 but nobody over here stunts on 1
all honda's and kawa's

Im thinking of a r6 from 03/05 or something
Is it wise for a beginner, can it take a beating?
I would really love to know something more about it for I buy 1
Got an f3 now but i wanna set up another bike in the winter ..

It is not as strong as the f4i, BUT if you hit up ATOWN CUSTOMS. (Link can be found in my signature..) And get a cage, subframe, 12 bar from him the r6 will take a beating!

You should be a salesman for Atown
But I do think the cages of them look sick
Do the r6's need a mod on oil pick up
And do the subframes crack as easy as it seems on the pictures?
I'm nog into changing the sub every other week, need the time to practice

no oil pickup needed. do the kleen air mod and add half qt of oil on top of normal and youre good. subframes either need to be replaced with an atown customs subframe or run some subties if u dont have the loot for the aftermarket sub.

Re: **Post pictures of R6's here**

Guys are you sure about oil pickup? My engine had died rather quickly. I got clean air mode and overfilled oil. And if I do wheelie about 30 km/h after 700 meters the oil level light is turn on.

Re: **Post pictures of R6's here**

sorry to thread jack...........
Question for you guys that are running after market clip ons on your R6............
50mm woodcraft clip ons (05 R6) TOP or BOTTOM???

i'm building it into a full fairing stunt bike, i just bought 50mm woodcarft clip-ons for it. i just realized that i prob should have got the 2" rise, and relocated them under the tripple. BUT they are in the mail and are non returnable. it doesnt appear that they will fit the normal top mount (above the tripple) without needing to lower the front end a little. and if i mount them below the tripple they'll be about 2" lower than stock height since they are the normal (no rise) clip ons.

just seeing what the rest of you guys did........
top mount (above the tripple) and lower the front end by about 5mm or so + or - (not sure, i dindt messure the stock clamp thickness)
-or-
bottom mount (below the tripple) and lower the clip on height by about 2" +or -

how about the vortex........ are they the same size as stock clamp thickness? the woodcraft clamp thickness is 35mm. i still have to messure the stock to see what that is.

Re: **Post pictures of R6's here**

Well the rear sets on the r6 are super weak especially at the peg tabs. I had a broken rear set and a broken esd peg, So I made a solid peg rear set out of the 2! I really like it, I think I am going to cut my other peg for the other side! Cheap easy fix and way better than stock! IMO. No one makes a after market solid peg stunt rear set so heres the solution!

It may be a little ghetto but have you seen my bike?! LOL
