Power Tour 2009 (or, where the hell I've been all week...)

It's been a good time so far. We got totally plowed in Madison last night. We drank about $75 in beer at Essen House. 3 boots were one too many. No one has broke anything yet. Bill's cars smokes a bit. Hawkins locked his keys in his car 10 minutes ago. We haven't achieved plaid speeds yet either.

There was a round of drunken hotel parking lot burnouts last nights. We all did about 100 ft slow rollers around midnight last night. People on the third floor smelled the smoke. The retired couple next door to us were not amused at all. The old lady shook her finger at me this morning and her husband gave me some serious stink eye.

Here is a link to the set

More pics are in the folder. Bill did a gigantic burnout in his 69 tonight. Our buddy's younger younger brother now travelling with us also was taught a lesson by the hotel desk clerk that came out and drank with us after she got off at 11PM. He lost a beer shotgunning race to her, and then also puked. He later tried again and she whooped him a second time.

I had a bunch of photos all linked but F-ed it up somehow. Stupid beers.

We should be getting into Mt. Clemens around 3PM. Tour people will probably be getting there from 1PM onwards. Most folks will hang out until around 6-7PM.

Hawkins did some badge engineering on johns car last night while He was up in the room...

Really nice first gen with lots of carbon fiber bits. LS7 with some spray.

A 50 year old guy at our hotel's Thunderbird SC with a blown Licoln engine.

Re: Power Tour 2009 (or, where the hell I've been all week...)

So, we're still on the road. Last night was apparently burnout night. John started, and then a few more joined in.

Our cars are still holding together. John had his windshield broken by a rock in MI, and Hawkins has a head gasket headed south (but it's not serious yet).

Getting on the internets has also been a pita. I'm sitting in our hotel business center right now. The old black lady that runs the place has forgotten I'm here. She's on the phone with her friend talking about how she has diarhea and **** herself this morning. "It just slipped out girl. Um hum. It was really wet".

The spice of life...

Well, I think we all are officially home now. I got in last night around 8pm very hung over. Bill again wins the award for taking his car the most apart on tour. We thought it might be terminal, but it wasn't. Most likely his pinion was improperly shimmed.

Following that breakdown he forgot to get gas...and then ran out.

And one of his wife.

Coolest pit bike.

Crushing cans.

Only one of these I've ever seen.

Rescued from a junk yard in Florida after sitting for 20+ years.

530hp naturally aspirated ford small block.

Reefer, C6Matt, and Hawkins.

John, the cash money millionaire.
