Question on frame welding

Got a quick question
I hit my bar too hard and broke the subframe mount on my 2002 750. Anyway, If you weld the frame with the bike all together will it short out the wiring system or mess up the computer or anything? It broke off the rear part of the mount so its just like a half circle out of it. If anyone's fixed this before by welding or making some sort of bracket or somthing, let me know what you did!
Thanks

Re: Question on frame welding

I did the same thing to my 01 1000, the reason that piece broke is because it's made out of cast aluminum which is hella shitty. I had someone machine me some pieces that where the same size out out of a block of solid aluminum and replaced both of them ( the bottom mounts ) now it's bullet proof. I also had some cross bracing welded in to the subframe to stop twist and flex. PM me if you want and I'll try and upload some pics to you, and I can give you the measurements for the new pieces you need to get made

Re: Question on frame welding
