Steering Dampers
Steering Dampers
I've been riding for like 4 months now and I was out clutching it up in second gear and just about everytime I would get bad shakes in my front wheel. I have a 954, do I need a steering damper on it? Thanks
Yes, LOL...try a sit down wheelie and shift through to 5th gear from second and then bring it down at 120 mph and get a nasty tank slapper. Not fun at all, thats what made me get a stablizer for my 636. I gotta a GPR but Scotts are really nice.
Ive ridden with both Scott's (rotary type) and Toby (Rod type) They both do the job preventing tank slappers!
Scott's are more adjustable but i like the rod type more for stunting.
They (rod type) seem to have less slop side to side which is very good for stoppies.
