weather cond. for a wheelie

Does the wind deter anyone else's wheelies? I dont know if anyone else's area is a windy as ours sometimes, But I cant seem to wheelie my 99 900rr without the wind twisting my bike, Like it seems if the wind is blowing 10+ mph and I attempt a wheelie, If the wind is coming at my side it sweeps the bike out from underneath me. I've had a few close calls where I've had to set the bike down at an angle like I was turning a sharp corner. I just kinda want everyone elses input on the situation. Thanks

I just started stunting, and it just turned winter, a few long sleeve t's, a hoody, some long mx socks, and a pair of lounge pants under my jeans and I'm set, I'm rocking it all winter.

wind sucks for sure. Constant wind isn't nearly as bad as gusts. Constant wind you can just hang off the bike and steer into it, but gusts I've had some damn close calls. Worst was a strong gust caught me off guard and I set down the wheelie at an angle while the bars were still turned. Started a nasty tank slapper that I was lucky I didn't get thrown off the bike. Careful buddy

I'll still do em if it's windy, just gotta be more careful. Slow stuff it doesn't bother me at all.

heh, I've had a good crosswind topple me over a few times while doing a wheelie on my mountain bike, but I live on a lake, and the wind comes off that like crazy!
Get the wind behind me while doing a wheelie, and there is no stoppn' me.

Re: weather cond. for a wheelie

It all depends on how strong the wind is...if I feel it really pushing me around then hell no I won't try it. I've seen/heard of people crashing due to high winds.
