Frame sliders or cages??

I have a 2003 R6, I can rock the slow stuff and scrape the tail. Im putting on a bar, is it that much for difficult to scrape and not fall over when hitting the bar on an angle?? But anyways to the point, if I wreck on a 12 from hitting the bar wrong will extended frame sliders do nething or just rip out my mounts?? or should i just go for a cage because I hear some good things but also bad thing about them. what should I do? I havent wrecked scrapin the tail but i knwo I will with the bar. I just want to protect my bike as much as possible thats for all the imput.

The good outways the bad of cages. alot of the cages now are being designed to get away from the bad comments about them.

I have sliders on my bike, they suck. the right side has ripped out over 15 times. i cant re-tap it anymore. The left side has ripped out about the same, but a bolt on the back fixes the problem for awhile.

cages

The only thing I found out the hard way was not to make the side posts too long or they rip out of the motor. but I have fixed that problem.

i love my cage but the bad part, it's gonna **** stuff up if you crash hard...

for just burnout crashes and ****, extended sliders will help, some harder crashes cage is the bomb.

cage also allows you to just dump it over and your plastics (almost all of them) are protected.
